Bolivia’s president, Luis Arce, announced on Thursday that his government will request the investigation of former president Evo Morales, charged with an alleged relationship with a minor, be placed in reserve.

The representative stated that “appropriate research is required for the protection of minors and families involved in these issues”.
“We are going to ask that it be declared in reserve,” Arce stressed.

For his part, former president Morales said he is not surprised or concerned about the judicial charge against him, for an alleged relationship he had with a minor.
